CareLinc acts as your “Platform Partner”—we verify the credentials of your chosen staff, manage their payroll, and provide the insurance coverage you need to be a safe “employer” in your own home.

The Fee Structure

Self-Managed Platform Fee: A flat monthly fee (e.g., ~$150 – $250 per month) regardless of how many hours of care you use.
No Percentage Margins: Unlike other providers, we don’t take a percentage of every hour. You pay the worker’s rate directly, and we handle the processing.
No Hidden Costs: No joining fees, no exit fees, and no “processing fees” for invoices.

Self-funded Care FAQs

Do I need a government assessment to start private care?

No. Unlike NDIS or Support at Home, private care does not require an ACAT or NDIS assessment. You can begin services immediately after a consultation with our Care Lead.

How quickly can care start?

We can usually mobilize a care team within 24 to 48 hours for standard services. For urgent complex care or post-hospital discharge, we prioritize your request for the fastest possible start.

Can I choose my own hours and frequency?

Yes. You have total flexibility. Whether you need a 2-hour check-in once a week or 24/7 round-the-clock nursing, the schedule is entirely up to you and can be changed with 24 hours’ notice.

What is the "Full Service" fee, and why do I pay it?

The coordination fee covers the professional management of your care. This includes 24/7 on-call support, clinical oversight by a Registered Nurse, staff vetting, and the guarantee of a replacement worker if your regular carer is unavailable.

Can I use private care while waiting for government funding?

Absolutely. This is a very common choice. We can provide immediate support while your NDIS or My Aged Care application is processing. Once your funding is approved, we help you transition the billing over seamlessly.

Are there any hidden costs or exit fees?

No. At CareLinc, we believe in transparency. There are no joining fees, no exit fees, and no hidden “brokerage” costs on top of the hourly rates we quote you.

Is private care tax-deductible?

In some cases, specialized nursing care or medical-related home supports may be tax-deductible or eligible for rebates through private health insurance. We recommend speaking with your accountant or health fund for specific advice.

What happens if I go to the hospital?

You can pause your services at any time. We can also pivot your care to provide “Hospital-to-Home” transition support to ensure you settle back into your house safely after discharge.
