Understanding Funding and Participant Types

Planning funding effectively depends on identifying where you fit in the care system:

Existing Participants

Those approved for a package and waiting in the National Priority System (NPS) before September 12, 2024.

Participants in the NPS

Those receiving a Home Care Package or Short-Term Restorative Care before September 12, 2024, are protected by the “No Worse Off” rule.

New Participants

Individuals applying after the transition date fall under the new Support at Home framework.

You can choose from three management styles: Full Management (CareLinc handles all scheduling), Self-Managed (you organize the schedule yourself), or Family-Coordinated (a family member coordinates care on your behalf).
